The Planning Problem

weekly planner view with sessions populated and therapy plans attached]

Planning therapy takes too long because nothing connects.

You have 30 students, different goals, different groups, and sessions starting in 20 minutes. The plan you need lives across three tabs, a folder from last month, and a mental note you're pretty sure you made on Thursday.

The issue isn't effort. It's that most SLPs are planning in a vacuum, with materials in one place, goals in another, and their schedule somewhere else entirely. SLP Now gives you the system: a single place to plan therapy that's connected to your materials, your students' goals, and your session data, so nothing slips, nothing gets rebuilt from scratch, and nothing lives in a folder you'll never find again.

How the Therapy Planner Works

One plan. Multiple groups. Zero extra prep.

tick2

Choose a thematic unit: Pick a unit from the library (a picture book, nonfiction text, core vocabulary book, science experiment, or vocational video) and use it as the anchor for a full month of therapy across multiple groups.

tick2

Attach it to your sessions: Connect the unit directly to the sessions in your planner. Every student in the group has their goals already linked; no separate tracking is required.

tick2

Access materials directly from the plan: Every therapy plan comes with pre-matched materials (skill-based materials, visuals, probes, and practice activities) already attached. Click to download or use digitally during your session.

tick2

Collect data without switching apps: Jump from the therapy plan directly into data collection. Enter probe data, document support levels, and generate your session note, all without leaving SLP Now.

tick2

Plan the next session in seconds: Your previous session data informs your next plan. Know exactly where each student is and what to target next without starting from scratch.

Evidence-Based Session Structure, Built In

Diagram of the session structure framework

Not just a planner. A clinical framework.

SLP Now's therapy planner is built around the evidence on what makes school-based therapy effective.

Every session follows a structured routine (check-in, assess, teach, practice, wrap-up) that helps you maximize the time you have with students and make consistent clinical decisions, even on your most chaotic days.

The literacy-based thematic unit model means your practice activities are tied to meaningful, contextualized language, not isolated drills. And because one unit can span a full month, you spend significantly less time sourcing new materials every week.

The result: more intentional therapy, less prep, and a caseload you can actually manage.

Works Across Your Whole Caseload

Mixed groups, multiple goals, one plan.

One of the hardest parts of school-based therapy planning is serving students with wildly different goals in the same session. SLP Now's thematic units are designed for exactly that.

A single unit on a picture book can simultaneously support articulation practice, grammar targets, vocabulary instruction, and narrative skills because the richness of real texts gives you room to differentiate. You'll have materials for each student's goal area built in, so you're not juggling five separate activity packs for one 30-minute session.

School-Based SLP

Taking data is a breeze. I love that it has the attendance feature so I can keep track of how many sessions I have completed with a student. The materials are absolutely amazing! I love that I can attach a plan to a group. It helps make planning and preparing easy.

At the beginning of the month, when you've picked out your story and you've picked out which groups are gonna do it, you can print everything out in one go and it's already ready for the whole month.

Sara M.

School-Based SLP
I spend more time making my sessions fun and planning for future sessions. I feel like my data is so much more valid.

School-Based SLP

I think my therapy is more effective — using themes and specific literacy units to address goals for all my students and mapping out a month's worth of activities. I am spending less time and money grabbing random one-off resources on TPT. Seeing consistent growth when I have time to plan WHAT we're working on rather than spending time finding the right game or activity.

Stop planning therapy from scratch every week.

SLP Now gives you a planning workflow that's actually built for school-based practice, so you can show up to every session prepared, without sacrificing your personal time to get there.

What if I don't use literacy-based therapy?

SLP Now supports multiple therapy approaches. The thematic unit model is the framework we recommend and have built most deeply, but the materials library also includes skill packs, articulation materials, and targeted language activities that work within any planning approach. The planner itself works regardless of which materials you attach.

How long does it actually take to plan with SLP Now?

SLPs regularly report planning a full month of therapy in under 10 minutes once they're set up. Setup (adding your students and goals) takes a bit longer the first time, but most SLPs are fully up and running within a session or two.

Can I plan for multiple schools or caseloads?

Yes. The planner supports multiple schools, color-coded session types, and multiple groups across different days and locations. Everything lives in one view.

What if I already have plans I like?

You can attach your own materials to sessions or use SLP Now materials alongside resources you've already built. You don't have to start over, you can fold SLP Now into your existing approach gradually.
